Prayers for Robert, Peter and Rebecca

Thank you to all of you who continue to pray for Robert and Peter. This is a hard time of year for them. They along, with the rest of the troops stationed in Iraq, struggle with being so far away from family. We feel their loss more acutely now as well.

We talked with Robert last night. He is so grateful for the packages he has received from many of you. He said that all of the guys gather around when the packages are opened. When one of the guys get a package, it is as if all of the guys get a package. It is like receiving a "piece of home in a box".

Here are some pictures we have received from them lately.

This is Robert with one of his pals and the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Peter on duty.

Peter and his adorable girl friend Rebecca.

I apologize to those who have asked me for their addresses and I have not given them to you. So sorry for the delay. Here they are:

4 BCT #1 CD
APO\ AE 09330

PFC Walton, Robert A
APO\AE 09342

SPC Rebecca Smith
B co. 27th BSB, 4th BDE, 1 CD
APO, AE 09331

Thank you again for all of your prayers and support. Please continue to pray for their protection as well as their walk with the Lord.

Lord, please continue put Christ-like people into their lives. Please bring them home quickly and safely.

We'll keep all of your sweet family in our prayers. I can only imagine what this is like for all of you. We're so fortunate to know your family and to have your boys fighting for our freedoms. Their work is not taken lightly and we give them our greatest gratitude.

Oh, and a big dog camera...I'm hoping to get a higher resolution and one that offers more features to manipulate the automatic settings. Maybe a Nikon D80...hint, hint!

That's a hint hint to Bret! Sorry - not like you are going to get me this camera! Ha!

Father, Please continue holding Robert, Peter & Rebecca close to Your heart. Hide them under the shadow of Your wings and shield them from any danger. I pray that they'll not be harmed in any way. Father, would You make their families seem so close to them through this holiday season? Fulfill every need they have--mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. And Father, would You do an absolute miracle and put the things in those boxes they get that meets every desire of their hearts? Speak to them clearly with Your Truth and set them free. Give them a longing for home that brings them home. In Jesus' name, Amen.
